SAINTS AND TREASURES IN THE HEART OF ITALY
FOR PRE-ORGANIZED GROUPS

Day 1: Milan or Bologna – Ancona.
Arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport or Bologna Airport and transfer to Ravenna. Free Lunch. Meeting with our guide and visit of the city, in the past Capital of the Roman Empire and visit of the greatest collection of mosaics in the Western World. Then transfer to your Hotel on the Adriatic coast in the Fano/Ancona area. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 2: Loreto and Conero.
After breakfast departure for Ancona. Guided visit of the beautiful San Ciriaco cathedral and the centre of Ancona, followed by a panoramic tour of the Conero cliffs. In the afternoon we proceed for Loreto and the amazing Basilica which since the fifteenth century is a venerated place with the "Holy House" numbered among the most famous shrines of Italy. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Corinaldo – Fano.
After breakfast we leave for Corinaldo in the hinterland of Ancona. This is the bithplace of Santa Maria Goretti. We visit her birthplace and the Sanctuary where she is buried. Corinaldo is a typical silent town on top of the hill offering an intact medieval centre far away from the rush of the big towns. On the way back we’ll stop in Fano, small fisherplace along the Adriatic coast, with roman origins. We’ll stroll along the narrow streets of this beautiful old town before returning to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gubbio – Assisi.
Breakfast at the hotel, then departure for Umbria, stopping at the medieval town of Gubbio. Free lunch. In the afternoon, we continue our way for Assisi for the guided visit and to see the famous San Francesco basilica. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in the Assisi area.

Day 5: Perugia – Orvieto.
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning, guided visit of Perugia, the most important city of Umbria, with many Etruscan and Roman monuments and mediaeval churches. Free lunch. In the afternoon guided visit of Orvieto, world famous for its Italian Gothic Cathedral. Then, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure.
After breakfast transfer to Rome Airport.
